I think if you asked any Michigan State football player what the most heart-breaking moment of the season was, they’d have the same answer: Felton Davis III tearing his Achilles against Michigan. The injury not only derailed the Spartans’ season, but it also put the future of Davis into the unknown.
Once a lock to play in the NFL, Felton Davis III’s pro potential now became a question mark since an Achilles injury is uniquely terrible for athletes and can ruin careers. So, while it was sad that he went undrafted in the NFL Draft, it was very encouraging when he was quickly signed by the Kansas City Chiefs.
What was even more encouraging was watching Davis practicing back on a field, which is exactly what we saw today. It wasn’t much, but it Davis still looks great, which is a huge step for him in his journey back to playing shape.
