One of the stars of Thursday's episode of First Dates Ireland revealed to his potential love interest that he had broken his penis before.
Jordan, 24, from Limerick, insisted that he actually hadn't broken it, more that a girl had broken it for him, but it still left people around the country (especially the men!) uncomfortably shifting around on the couch.
He announced to his date, Sasha: "So recently, I broke my penis.
"Like, it full on broke. And I was in hospital, and I had to get it glued back together.
After Sasha replied in Shock, he explained: "We were doing the thing, you know, the sex. She decided to like pull it, the whole way down and she snapped a banjo string and I flinched when it happened.
"She managed to rip my foreskin in half. It was half on and half hanging off. I lost a lot of blood! I started screaming, blood spraying like a water gun.
Jordan's biggest concern in the aftermath of the horror incident? That his aunt would see it.
He continued: "The worst thing was, my aunt is a paramedic, so I was terrified my aunt was going to have to come and look after me with my broken penis. The doctor said it was the worst penis break he'd ever seen in his life!"
It's quite an opener on a first date and people on social media were in stitches laughing.
One man noted: "I didn't want my aunt who is a paramedic to see me but I'll tell the whole country my penis story instead."
Another came in with relationship advice, saying: "Jordan, this is not first date conversation, nor dinner conversation for that matter. But it’s fucking hilarious."
While a third said: "What a horrible day to have a penis. And ears"
One woman laughed: "All the men in Ireland crossing their legs and reaching for the mute button, listening to Jordan's story"
Another user applauded Jordan for his confidence, writing: "After telling his date “He broke his Penis”, he follows up by telling her it “works away fine now” - what a story to tell on the first date"
And, to be fair to the Shannonsider, it worked out - they went on a second date.
