Aside from being one of the most consistently entertaining and heartwarming shows that RTÈ has commissioned in years, the producers of First Dates Ireland were given a boost recently when the wholesome message of the show was reinforced.
That's because two people that participated in last season, Carla and Shez, announce that they are engaged.
The pair have been together for eight months after meeting on the popular dating show.

However, if you or anyone you know would like to visit the famous restaurant, the producers of the show are looking for singletons to take part in the new season.
In a post that was shared online, the show's creators, COCO Content took a unique approach to the phrase 'they shoot, they score' because they announced that they're taking new applicants during last night's Euro 2020 semi-final.
In a video posted online, the captions said; 'First Dates - Daters Wanted. A match you won't want to miss! Apply now."
As is the norm, the show's creative team are open to singletons of all ages, however, there are a few rules in place.
The following must apply for any potential participants on the show.
- You are over 18 years of age.
- You are a permanent legal resident on the island of Ireland
- You are not/have not ever been employed by COCO Content and/or the Broadcaster (RTÉ)
- No member of your household, immediate relative (i.e. mother, father, son, daughter, brother or sister) are employed/have ever been employed by COCO Content and/or the Broadcaster (RTÉ).
