First Dates Ireland has proven that love can be found on the blind dating show as the much-loved couple from last season, Carla and Shez, announce that they are engaged.
The pair have been together for eight months after meeting on the popular RTE show.
Viewers of the show found themselves instantly hoping that the couple would say yes to seeing each other again as their chemistry became evident as the date went on.
Taking to Instagram, Shez shared a picture of the happy couple with the caption, "She said yes & I get to spend the rest of my life with the best person on this planet!

The couple looked overjoyed in the snap as the bride to be showed off her beautiful engagement ring.
Carla also took to social media to share the good news, as she revealed Shez popped the question on her 40 th birthday.
She said, “On my 40th birthday this absolute legend asked me to marry him!! No idea how he managed to keep this a secret from me, but he did and got me good!
"We only met 8 months ago but knew instantly we had something special, as they say when you know you know, and boy did we know.
“I’ve had to wait 40 years for this day, 40 years but it was worth the wait as I get to spend my life with the most incredible human being I’ve ever met."
“Shez Sherry, thank you for making me the happiest girl on the planet right now, I adore you."
