Channel 4's First Dates Hotel on Thursday night saw Blue's Duncan James ' stunning mum Fiona appear as a surprise contestant.
Fiona, 64, revealed she was hoping to meet a man who looked like Richard Gere, and was paired up with former naval officer Eric, 61.
The glamorous blonde got chatting to another hopeful before her date, and explained: "I have one son."
"What does he do," replied her companion.
"He's a professional singer, he was originally in a boy band."
Her companion then tried to guess which boy band he was in, guessing Boy Zone, A1, McFly, before giving up.
"He was in a band called Blue," said Fiona, revealing her son was Duncan, 42, who has since starred in musicals and on Hollyoaks.
Duncan also appeared on Fred Sirieix' First Dates Hotel previously, and recommended it so highly that Fiona decided it was her turn.
Viewers were timing how long it took Fiona to bring up her famous son.
"Can’t believe Duncan’s mum not mentioned Duncan yet #firstdateshotel," tweeted one, at the start.
"Duncan from Blue has a very glamorous mum... #firstdateshotel " remarked another.
"Duncan from blues mum, only took her 2mins to say that #FirstDatesHotel " joked a third once she had brought it up.
Fiona is incredibly close to her son, and she even FaceTimed him from her hotel room before she left to meet her mystery date.
"Do you like my hair? Can you see the back?" she asked him.
"I love it!" he replied.
"I know my son calls me a lot, but it would be nice to have a second person to worry about me and care about me," she explained.
"I would just love to meet somebody that would love me and care about me, it's been a long time."
She then announced to Fred as she greeted him that Duncan was a huge fan.
One viewer joked: "Is that woman the mother of Duncan from Blue? She hasn't mentioned. #firstdateshotel ".
