First Bus responds to 'dangerous' bus surfing challenge which has gone viral on Facebook

First Bus has responded to a viral challenge which has been terrifying drivers.

According to an anonymous driver based in Wales, there have been several reported incidents of ‘bus surfing’ in recent weeks.

He claims teenagers are hanging onto the back of the bus while on skateboards or scooters, the Daily Post reports .

He said: “Kids are trying to grab and surf behind buses.

“They are hanging on the back of the bus while on skateboards or scooters or just standing on the back and clinging to the back of the bus."

The driver said it was usually large groups of teens seen attempting to take part in bus surfing.

He added that North Wales Police had been contacted on a number of occasions to move the teens along but the youngsters simply returned to try again the next day.

A police spokesperson confirmed reports had been made regarding loitering youths in the area where the incidents are said to have occured.

A spokesperson for First Bus has now responded to the online challenege.

Luckily, they said the provider had not yet received any reports of bus surfing in the Bristol area.

The Welsh driver added: “It's dangerous to work with situations like this and it delays all the passengers.

“If you don't spot it it make this a dangerous situation.”

“I just think that people should be told how dangerous these silly challenges for likes on Facebook are for everyone involved."
