First big name confirmed for Leeds Christmas light switch on

It's only beginning to look a *tiny* bit like Christmas, yet we don't have to wait long until the all-important Christmas light switch on in Leeds city centre.

Last year world champion boxer Josh Warrington turned the lights on for the city, and a host of other big names have performed the duty in the past.

This year the festive event is going to take place on Thursday, November 7, and so far organisers have remained tight-lipped about who will appear.

One musical act has been confirmed for the evening now, though, as 'popera' stars G4 have revealed that they will be performing.

G4 were hugely popular when they appeared on the X Factor back in 2004, and their cover of Queen classic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was a big hit in the charts.

The multi-platinum selling group have announced a huge Christmas tour, and as well as playing at the switch on, they have also confirmed a date at Leeds Town Hall on November 27.

Details on other attendees for the Christmas light switch on should be revealed soon - keep an eye on our site for more details.
