First 2 weeks haven’t been great for Garrett Bradbury

The Vikings were supposed to improve their offensive line by adding first-round pick Garrett Bradbury to the mix.

While the offensive line has been better than it was last season, Bradbury hasn’t been great.

Bradbury has a Pro Football Focus grade of 36.5.

Here’s what Mark Chichester wrote about Bradbury:

Bradbury certainly wasn’t the best pass-protecting center to enter the draft this year, but never in a million years did we think his pass-blocking numbers would be this bad after two weeks of NFL football. On 53 pass-blocking snaps over two games (including plays that were nullified by penalty), Bradbury has allowed eight total pressures and suffered four additional “losses.” Through two weeks, no offensive lineman has lost a higher proportion of his pass-blocking snaps than Bradbury, who’s lost a staggering 22.6% of his matchups — and his pass-blocking grade of 0.0 reflects that fact.

That grade ranks 32nd among 32 graded centers, so yeah, not great.

But it’s only been two games, the Vikings have run the ball really well, and Bradbury should improve as the season moves along.

His next test will be against the Raiders on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
