FIRs lodged against Haryana police couple for duping people on pretext of govt jobs

AMBALA: The police registered three first information reports (FIRs) against a couple, allegedly for duping residents of Ambala and Kurukshetra of Rs 12.50 lakh on the pretext of providing government jobs through Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).

Three cases were registered at Naraingarh police station in Ambala district on January 21, on the complaints of Rakesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar and Gurpreet Singh respectively.

The complainants alleged that the accused Vikram Singh alias Vicky of Naraingarh and his wife Baljinder Kaur duped them of Rs 12.50 lakh by promising government jobs.

Sources told Vikram is deputed as special police officer (SPO) in Ambala and his wife Baljinder as head constable at Naraingarh Women police station with Haryana police.

Both are absconding.

Rakesh Kumar alleged that Vikram told his father that he is PSO (personal security guard) and driver of Bharat Bhushan Bharti (Ex-Chairman HSSC) and he settled a deal with him for providing a government job of clerk at Rs 7 lakh.

Sunil Kumar said that he was promised a Group-D government job for which he gave Rs 3 lakh and documents to Vikram at his residence in Naraingarh on October 18, 2020.

The JJP leaders have said that the accused couple never had any talks about exchange of money before them and in case, if they have taken money for providing jobs from the people, then strict action should be taken against them.
