Firm launches sale on vest that can 'improve posture and help ease back pain' from working from home

With one in six people in England currently suffering from back pain according to research from Arthritis UK and Public Health England, and the issues exacerbated by the rise in hybrid working where workers sit for long periods in poorly-set-up home offices, people are looking for ways to both ease existing pain and stop it recurring.

A new medically-tested vest giving people relief from back ache could help the nine million people of all ages affected. It can be worn discreetly under clothes and is currently on sale with free delivery and a 100-day money back guarantee.

Medical technology company Percko created their first back relief vest certified as a medical device before adjusting it to make it comfortable to wear regularly under work and casual clothes alike.

The Percko vest was designed by two Masters students majoring in Engineering to help one of their fathers, a dentist, who suffered from back pain due to always being hunched over his patients. They wanted to help ease his back ache without him needing to rely on pain medication.

In a special summer sale, the Percko wearable vest is reduced by £15 for one vest, or shoppers can get £50 off two vests, perfect to either split the cost with a friend or family member or allow users to wash one and wear one while sitting for long periods.

The Lyne Up vest engages the wearer's posture, helping to realign the spine and reduce pressure on vertebrae. Percko says this will help back muscles to strengthen over time, leading to better back health and pain relief as well as improved posture.

Working in a similar way to Kinesio taping, the vests work on the principle of proprioception, or a person's ability to do something without consciously thinking about it - in this case making the wearer aware of their posture and regulating it subconsciously.

Recommended by physiotherapists and osteopaths since they first went into production in 2014, there have been six full medical studies have completed on the vests with over 4,400 testers taking part in the certification process. Of those, 86% of users were satisfied with the vests and 72.5% reported a reduction in their back pain.

Jeff Ross, physiotherapist at Harris and Ross in Manchester said: "It was doing the job that I would want my strapping to do. People are going to get better quicker, they are going to feel less pain."

The vests are available in a t-shirt style for men or a vest style for women in either nude or black colours so they can be worn unobtrusively under everyday clothes. They are currently on offer with free delivery and a 100-day no-quibble money back guarantee.
