BJP leader held for firing at Shiv Sena leader at Thane police station

A BJP Maharashtra has been held for shooting and injuring a leader of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena inside police station in Thane, according to the police.

The encounter happened at Hill Line police station in Ulhasnagar around 10.30 p.m on Friday.

Mahesh Gaikwad, a Sena leader, was injured and admitted to a hospital in Thane city, sources said, adding that the process of registration of FIR was underway.
