A person was trapped in a car following a two-vehicle crash on Canberra Avenue at Fyshwick on Friday afternoon.

The road was closed at the intersection of Tom Price Street and Canberra Avenue as emergency services attended the scene.

The scene was now clear.

ACT Fire and Rescue officers had to cut the roof off a car to extricate one person from a vehicle.

Paramedics were at the scene to stabilise the patients. The number of people involved and extent of injuries was unknown.

The intersection was closed for a period of time while the scene was being cleared. It has since reopened.
