Fireworks and flares set off outside Ibrox after Rangers' win against Celtic

Fireworks and flares have been set off outside Ibrox stadium following Rangers' win against Celtic.

Shocking video clips show the Gers stadium lit up red as hoards of fans let off the pyrotechnics on Saturday evening.

One fan wrote: "We’ll follow the greatest team in history . . . the famous RFC."

It comes after Rangers defeated the Hoops at Ibrox sparking celebration outside the stadium.

In footage shared on social media, droves of fans gathered to launch red-coloured fireworks and flares nearby.

With all of mainland Scotland placed under harsh tier four restrictions amid rising Covid-19 cases, the gathering fans were seen breaking social distancing rules.

Celtic star Allan McGregor's own goal sealed the deal for Steven Gerrard's side who now stand 19 point clear.

Gers fans are celebrating as their Old Firm Derby rival's dream of 10 in a row looks more difficult to reach.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
