A tot was rushed to hospital with serious burns after a firework was 'hurled at his pram'.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on November 7 following reports that the child had been hit by a firework.
Police say the boy suffered "serious" injuries and was taken to hospital, reports Yorkshire Live.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police have said.
Family members of the Sheffield child wrote on a community Facebook page that the firework had been "thrown" at the pram.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at around 1:30pm on 7 November 2021 to reports that a one-year-old boy had been hit by a firework in Batemoor Drive.
"The boy suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital via ambulance. His family are being supported by specialist officers at this time. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"An investigation has been launched. Officers have spoken to a number of individuals in connection to the incident and enquiries are ongoing."
