A Belfast fireman working on the frontline during the Coronavirus pandemic returned to his station this morning to notice his motorbike missing.
The red Ductai 1299 Panigale was parked at the Springfield Road Fire Station on Saturday and is believed to have been taken some time between midnight and 7am this morning.
And in a bid to get the bike back to its owner, friends and family are asking the public to share their appeal.
Sinn Féin Councillor Michael Donnelly said: "This motorbike was stolen from Springfield Road Fire Station sometime between 12 midnight and 7am this morning.
"Those men and women in the fire service put their lives on the line for us on a daily basis and this is how a tiny minority reward them. This is a disgrace.
"If anyone spotted this motorbike or seen any activity on the Springfield Road at the fire station between the times of midnight and 7am, send me a PM.
"Let’s hopefully get this bike returned to its rightful owner."
Police have also appealed for anyone with information on the whereabouts of the bike, to get in touch.
Sergeant Connolly said: "We received a report of a theft of a motorbike in Belfast at 7:30am this morning.
"It was reported that the red Ducati 1299 - registration XFZ 5900 - was stolen from an address on the Springfield Road sometime between 9pm and the time it was reported to us this morning
"Anyone with information about this incident, or who knows the whereabouts of the motorbike, is asked to call police on 101, and quote reference number 534 of 10/05/20 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
