FIREFIGHTERS have worked through the night tackling a blaze at a recycling centre as police urged people to avoid the area.
Emergency services were called to the scene in London Road in Glasgow at around 8pm on Wednesday.
Nearby residents have been advised to keep their doors and windows closed due to levels of smoke in the area.
At the height of the incident six appliances, a high-reach appliance, and specialist resources were at the scene, the fire service said.
Three fire engines and a high-reach appliance were still tackling the blaze at 6.30am on Thursday.
There were no reports of any casualties.
Police said that London Road was closed from Methven Street to Maukinfauld Road due to the fire.
The force said in a statement on Thursday morning that the road is still closed as the emergency services are still in attendance.
Motorists have been asked to avoid the area.
It read: "London Road in Glasgow remains closed from Methven Street to Maukinfauld Road following a fire on Wednesday, 10 September 2025.
"Emergency services remain in attendance, and motorists are asked to avoid the area."
