Firefighters rushed to an Edinburgh road to tackle a blaze that took hold of a vehicle during the rush hour.
Emergency services were called to Wester Hailes Road in the west end of the city at around 5.30pm on Thursday evening.
Officers moved swiftly to close the road while fire officials worked to bring the blaze under control.
Video from the scene shows firefighters battling the fire as the car continues to burn at the side of the road among the thick smoke.
No one is thought to have been hurt in the fire.
Police Scotland ’s road’s unit tweeted: “A vehicle fire on Wester Hailes Road has impacted on rush hour congestion in the west of Edinburgh this evening.
“Officers from #EdinburghRP and the #NationalMotorcycleUnit are on the scene and local diversions are in place.”
