Firefighters tackle 'huge' blaze as bus bursts into flames in Bolton

A bus has gone up in flames in Bolton.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is currently dealing with the incident, which happened at the junction of Chorley New Road and Devonshire Road shortly before 4.30pm on Saturday.

Dramatic photos show firefighters tackling what witnesses described as a "huge" blaze in the Diamond single decker vehicle.

There were two passengers and a driver on board when the fire began, all of whom managed to escape safely.

The flames appear to have now been extinguished, while a crew from Bolton North remains on the scene.
