FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze at a high-rise block of flats in Dundee as homes have been evacuated and a woman taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called to Dudhope Court at around 1.10pm on Thursday following a report of a fire in a communal area at the high-rise.
Police said that properties are currently being evacuated and that the public is being urged to avoid the area.
The force confirmed that one woman has been taken to hospital for treatment, her condition is unknown at this time.
Roads around Dudhope Terrace and St Mary Street have also been closed.
Nearby residents have also been advised to keep their windows and doors closed while emergency services tackle the blaze.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “Emergency services are in attendance at a fire within a communal area of a high-rise block of flats on Dudhope Court, Dundee, which was reported around 1.10pm on Thursday, 11 September, 2025.
“One woman has been taken to hospital for treatment.
“Properties are being evacuated and the public is asked to avoid the area if possible.
“Road closures are in place around Dudhope Terrace and St Mary Street.
“Nearby residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed.”
