Firefighters tackled a blaze at a takeaway in Cheetham Hill last night.

Crews were called to the fire at a commercial building on Bury Old Road just after 11pm on Saturday.

The fire is understood to have happened at the Cheetham takeaway.

Smoke could be seen billowing from a window above the premises last night.

Pictures taken at the scene this morning show the windows left wide open.
