Fire crews investigating Duntroon campus fire

Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire which broke out at a building on the Duntroon campus.

Crews have extinguished the blaze in a building on Parnell Road, which remains closed as emergency services are on scene.

Firefighters arrived on scene at just after 4.30pm and were still working to extinguish the blaze at 6.30pm.

Firefighters entered the structure fire at Parnell Road, on the the Royal Military College Duntroon campus, using breathing apparatus to try and slow the fire's spread.

The fire was in the ceiling of the second storey of a building which is understood not be residential.

No injuries have been reported.

Paramedics and police have also attended.

The community is being asked to avoid the area.
