Firefighters tackle 4 trailers 'well alight' at farm in Nottinghamshire

Firefighters were called to a farm in Nottinghamshire after four trailers were reported 'well alight'.

Crews were called to the incident at Westwood Farm, Ollerton Road, Tuxford, overnight.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Four trailers at the height of the incident were well alight."

She explained hay in the trailers had also caught fire.

"It currently is still ongoing, however the fire is under control," the spokeswoman said.

Firefighters from the Tuxford, Edwinstowe and Worksop fire stations were all called to the scene to bring the fire under control.

Breathing apparatus and main jets were used by the crews.

A water bowsers was used and crews will reinspect the incident later.

There were no reported injuries.

A statement on the Tuxford Fire Station Facebook page read: "A busy night for the crew who, along with Edwinstowe and Worksop, used breathing apparatus and main jets to bring a fire under control."
