Firefighters have blasted "dangerous irresponsible motorists" after there were "several near misses" during a fire on the M7 motorway.
Heroic Laois and Kildare firefighters rushed to the scene of a huge truck blaze between J14 and 15 of the Dublin-bound road.

The fire forced the road to close as multiple units battled it, while the Laois Fire Brigade have now said the recklessness of drivers on the other side could have made things much worse.
They said: "Just to be aware, several near misses occurred during the fire with cars slowing and stopping in the far carriageway of the motorway to take pictures. Very dangerous irresponsible behaviour."
It 's been reported at least one person got out of their car with the picture ending up on social media.
Firefighters told the Leinster Express that at least "six or seven" stopped on the opposite side causing other motorists to manoeuvre around them.
They said: "Several near misses occurred during the fire with cars slowing and stopping in the far carriageway of the motorway to take pictures. (It was) very dangerous irresponsible behaviour.

"If one of the cars stopping to take pictures had ended up in a pile-up in the other carriageway it would have been a very serious situation.
"Six or seven cars stopped in the opposite carriageway when we were there. Numerous cars behind them had to take evasive action."
