Firefighters rescue two boys trapped on steep ledge in Leeds woods

Firefighters were called to a woods in north Leeds after two boys became trapped on a ledge up a steep slope.

The emergency services attended the scene just before 8.30pm at Woodhouse Ridge in Meanwood .

Crews from Leeds together with the Technical Rescue Unit from Cleckheaton located the teenagers and, using line rescue equipment, assisted the teenagers in getting down to safety.

Fire engines attended from Leeds, Rawdon and Cleckheaton.
