One fire crew remains on the scene of a “large scale fire” at a Hexham paper mill.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service was called to a blaze at Fourstones Paper Mill, Hexham at around 3.50pm on Thursday.
At its height seven fire engines were sent to the scene to deal with the blaze.

A NFRS spokeswoman said one pump remained on scene on Friday morning.
She added: “Crews have worked hard through the night to contain the fire at Fourstones Paper Mill in Hexham.
“This is still an ongoing incident with one fire engine remaining on site.
“Roads surrounding the area have now reopened.”
Firefighters were also being assisted by the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service.
Smoke could be seen coming from the paper mill building with fire crews using hoses to try to extinguish the flames.
A hose reel, ground monitors and breathing apparatus were used while crews worked to contain the fire.
A farmer also helped to remove bails of burned paper.
