Firefighters release two adults from lift during busy night for the service

Fire crews worked into the early hours of the morning attending four incidents in the space of three hours.

The first incident was called in at 1.35am on Saturday, August 14.

Crews from Ashfield attended a fire involving a wheelie bin that had spread to an outhouse in Walesby Drive, Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.

Then, at 2.14am, fire crews from Arnold and Stockhill attended to a report of fire at a commercial property on Sir John Robinson Way in Daybrook.

Equipment and fuses were isolated before the premises were left in the care of on-site staff.

At 3.05am, fire crews from London Road were called out to release two adults stuck in a lift at a building in Robin Hood Way, Nottingham.

And at 4.06am, two crews from Stockhill attended a report of fire on Beechdale Road.

They used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire in an industrial wheelie bin at a commercial property.
