Firefighters release images of wreckage after crash on A617 in Nottinghamshire

FIrefighters have released images of a crash on the A617 in Nottinghamshire, showing the extent of the incident. The collision took place last night (Monday, November 20) after two cars crashed into each other near Southwell.

The incident resulted in four casualties needing assistance. Three of the casualties got out of the vehicle, while a fourth needed a full roof removal.

All four were treated at the scene and transported to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS). Crews from Southwell Fire Station and Edwinstowe Fire Station attended the incident.

A Facebook update issued by Southwell Station: "Last night Southwell Fire Station along with Edwinstowe Fire Station attended an RTC on the A617. 2 cars in collision resulting in 4 casualties needing assistance.

"3 casualties self extracted with the 4th needing a full roof removal from our crews on scene. All casualties were treated on scene and transported to hospital by the East Midlands Ambulance Service
