Firefighters, police and paramedics called to incident in Stapleford

A road was blocked off after the emergency services responded to an incident in Stapleford.

Police, paramedics and firefighters attended the incident in Pasture Road.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said the incident "was not a police matter".

He said the force had been called at 3.44pm on Monday, August 23, by the fire service.

While the incident was ongoing, the police spokesman added: "They are dealing with a medical incident."

Bus company trentbarton Tweeted earlier on Monday to say some of its services were diverting via Ilkeston Road and Hickings Lane because Pasture Road was closed.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your journey with us this evening," the bus company said on Twitter.

However, Pasture Road has fully reopened in both directions, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.
