Firefighters find two bodies after putting out yacht fire

The bodies were found aboard the yacht with a canvas tarp over the front after the fire was put out.

The Victoria Police Arson Squad is investigating a fatal yacht fire at North Geelong, last night.

Firefighters found the bodies of two people after putting out the blaze on the yacht at a jetty near Mackey Street just after 6:30pm.

The victims are yet to be identified.

Victoria Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
