Firefighters face challenging building blaze with gas cylinders in South Dublin

Dublin Fire Brigade faced a challenging building blaze with gas cylinders present.

Three fire engines were called to an industrial unit fire in Harold's Cross in South Dublin earlier today.

Breathing apparatus teams entered the building and extinguished the fire.

“These fires can be challenging as there is the potential for gas cylinders to be present,” according to DFB.

Senator Catherine Ardagh shared a video of the fire with thick black smoke emerging from the building.

She said: “House fire in Harold’s Cross. Please god nobody injured.

“Fire brigade here. Say a prayer.”
