Firefighters cut taxi driver cut out of car after collision with Viking Splash Tour

A taxi man had to be cut out of his car after a collision with a Viking Splash Tour 'dukw'.

Emergency services rushed to the scene this morning after the incident on Winetavern St around 10.45am.

The Dublin Fire Brigade were forced to cut the roof off the taxi to get the driver to safety.

The driver in his 40s was then taken to hospital as a precaution while no other injuries were reported.

Gardai confirmed they attended the scene.

A spokesperson said: "Gardaí attended a two vehicle Road Traffic Collision, today Thursday 4th July, 2019, at approximately 10.45am.

"The incident occurred on Winetavern St, Dublin 8.
