Firefighters have contained a fire in a house on Goodenia Street in Rivett and remained on scene, the Emergency Services Agency said.
The street was closed and the community was asked to avoid the area.
No injuries were reported and fire crews remained on scene, a spokeswoman for the agency said.
Investigations into the cause of the fire were expected to continue on Sunday morning.
