Firefighters chase down cyclist who sucker-punched elderly woman in 'unprovoked attack'

A bike-rider who punched an elderly woman outside a fire station was chased down by firefighters and then arrested.

Surveillance footage shows thug Daniel Biggs, 53, careening around the pavement on his bicycle before appearing to sucker-punch his 60-year-old victim who topples to the ground in Brookyln, New York.

The seemingly unprovoked attack sees the cyclist speed off the street right into the woman's path before the full punch sends her crashing.

Seconds later, four firefighters come screeching around the corner on foot and after a short chase manage to grab the man and hold him until police arrive, reports the New York Post.

As he'd rounded a second corner, Biggs appeared to momentarily lose control of his bike and skid to a stop, giving his chasers time to catch him.

The crazy clip, originally posted on TikTok, but since shared on other social media platforms, finishes with police escorting the attacker away in handcuffs.

The incident took place around 5pm on August 26 outside FDNY’s 214/Ladder 111 fire station at the corner of Haycock Street and Lewis Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Biggs, of Brooklyn, is seen in a bright orange t-shirt and a cap with the firefighters all in FDNY navy tops and shorts - while onlookers stop to watch the chase.

He was charged with assault, menacing, harassment and attempted assault.

However, the Post reports court records show he was released without bail after a court appearance four days later.

The victim suffered a cut mouth, but police said she declined medical attention at the scene, according to WCBS-TV.

NYPD named the attacker as Biggs.
