Firefighters called to scene as car crashes into wall in Notts town

Two people were taken to hospital after a car crashed into a wall in a Nottinghamshire town.

The crash happened in Kirkby Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield just before 9pm on Tuesday night (July 8).

Firefighters were called to the scene and two people had managed to get themselves out of the car before their arrival.

Another was then helped out by the fire service before two people were taken to hospital by emergency services.

A tweet from Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "2054 hrs Ashfield Station attended Kirkby Road, Sutton in Ashfield, the incident involved one vehicle in collision with a wall, 2 persons self extricated before arrival of fire service, one person was assisted from the vehicle by fire service, 2 persons conveyed to hospital."
