Firefighters called to cellar fire in Newcastle city centre pub

Firefighters were called to the scene of a cellar fire in a Newcastle city centre pub.

Two Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue crews - one from Byker and one from the city centre, were called to Butlers pub on Nun Street just before 1pm.

The cellar fire was contained within half an hour, and a fire safety team were then called to examine the scene.
