Firefighters were called to a blaze near the M25 today following reports of smoke which can be seen for miles away.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a blaze in West Byfleet, Surrey, started overnight. Recent reports confirm that nine fire engines and three aerial ladder platforms are on the scene while firefighters continue to keep the fire under control.
National Highways warned motorists of the fire closest to the M25 between Junction 10 and Junction 11. Motorists are also being advised to avoid the area and local residents to close their doors and windows while firefighters carry out work.

Surrey Fire & Rescue Service wrote on Twitter: "We remain in attendance at the incident, with 9 fire engines and 3 aerial ladder platforms. Out control room are receiving a high volume of calls reporting the fire this morning.
"Please note that we are aware of the smoke, and expect to be at the scene throughout the day."
Pictures from Surrey Live reveal that the large plume of smoke from the commercial unit on Oyster Lane can be seen from as far as roughly 10 miles away.
