Firefighters battling blaze at Glasgow pub with emergency services on the scene

Firefighters are battling a blaze at a Glasgow pub.

The fire took hold at The Dalmarnock Inn on Old Dalmarnock Road in Glasgow at around 6.15am on Monday, January 3.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS ) rushed to the scene where they remain some six hours later.

It is currently unknown how the fire started and whether there have been any injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.15am on Monday, 3 January, officers were called to a report of a fire at a building on Old Dalmarnock Road, Glasgow.

"Officers are at the scene."

The SFRS have been contacted for more details.
