Firefighters attend house blaze in Lowdham

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service tonight (October 26) attended a house fire in Main Street, Lowdham.

Three appliances were sent to the incident once firefighters were alerted to the blaze by Nottinghamshire Fire Control at 9.52pm.

They attended the scene within minutes and had prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby properties by shortly after 10.30pm. Having made the area safe, they left a short time after.

A spokesperson said: "There was a house fire but it was put out.

"Three appliances were sent but the fire didn't spread to other properties and all crews left the scene shortly after 10.33."

A video taken at the scene shows crews damping down at the completion of their operation.
