Firefighters across Bristol rush to scene of fire in large warehouse

Crews from across Bristol rushed to fight a large fire which broke out in an Avonmouth warehouse.

The fire, at a so far an undisclosed specific location, was reported to Avon Fire and Rescue Service at about 9pm last night (Wednesday, November 11).

Seven crews of fire fighters rushed to the scene, with teams from Avonmouth, Southmead, Patchway, Pill, Kingswood, Portishead and Temple in attendance.

The firefighters used breathing apparatus and four jets to extinguish the flames rising from the warehouse.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 8.59pm last night to a fire in a large warehouse in Avonmouth and crews from Avonmouth, South Mead, Patchway, Pill, Kingswood, Portishead and Temple were in attendance.

"Fire fighters in breathing apparatus used four 45ml jets to extinguish the fire. There has been no hot spots being found now with the thermal imaging camera now it's been dampened down. The fire is now over.

"They checked with a thermal imaging camera at about 9am this morning."
