Supporters of the Iranian national team and other fans gather in central Moscow on Tuesday ahead of the FIFA World Cup, which kicks off today. Excitement and jubilation engulfed the Red Square area in Russia's capital as uniform-clad soccer fans sported national flags and cheered for the countries they support. The Japanese national team, which came from behind to defeat Paraguay in its warm-up match on Tuesday, will open its World Cup campaign against Colombia next Tuesday.
