Firebrand to 'break this regime'

After announcing he will enter politics, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, a founder of the much-talk-about Future Forward Party or Anakhot Mai, has gained more attention as well as public scrutiny and accusations about what he did in the past. Preparing to make a transition from the realm of business into politics, the prai muen laan (proletarian billionaire) scion of Thai Summit autopart company brings his ready-to-fight attitude to the table in an exclusive conversation with the Bangkok Post's PATPON SABPAITOON.

Why did you decide to enter politics?

We don't see any change agent in the existing parties. I don't feel represented by any political parties, and I believe many people out there feel the same way. We have been in this [political] conflict for more than 10 years since the 2006 coup. If it continues to be the way it is, we believe the cost is too high.
