Firebomb attack sparks police probe as van torched in late-night incident

Police are appealing for information after a blue transit van was deliberately set on fire outside a house in Airdrie in a late-night attack.

Officers believe the incident occurred around midnight on Wednesday (22 September) at an address on Gartness Drive.

Police say no-one was injured in the incident but the van suffered extensive damage.

Officers at Coatbridge Police Station are appealing for information and are asking anyone with any information to call them via 101, quoting incident number 0108 of 22 September.
