A huge cloud of smoke has filled a train station in London after what witnesses have described as a ' fireball explosion'.
Footage posted on social media shows smoke billowing close to Elephant and Castle station in the south of the city on Monday afternoon at around 2.30pm.
One clip appears to show a unit under the station alight, reports the Mirror.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) has confirmed that the blaze is located in the arches under the station.
It is unclear at this stage if anyone has been hurt.
National Rail said trains would be unable to call at the station until at least 2:30pm.
LFB said on Twitter : "Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters are attending a fire at railway arches near to #ElephantCastle railway station.
"Please avoid the area and close all doors and windows."
The service added that it had already taken around 50 999 calls over the incident.
