Fire crews are tackling a blaze which has taken hold in Kilmarnock this morning.
Emergency services are in attendance at the incident near the town's Balmoral Road, which is close to Ayrshire College.
The blaze appears to have started at an industrial unit and eyewitnesses report that thick, black smoke can be seen from a distance.
It's not known at this stage what structures have been affected or how the fire started with an investigation likely to take place.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 10.43am on Wednesday, July 14 to reports of a building fire on Balmoral Road, Kilmarnock.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene of the fire affecting a one-storey warehouse.
"There are no reported casualties at this time.
"Crews remain in attendance."
