Fire service statement after two fire engines spotted in Nottingham city centre

Firefighters were called to an incident in Nottingham city centre.

Two engines were Pearl Assurance House in Friar Lane, and crews were seen near Costa.

Crews from the London Road and Arnold fire stations were in attendance following a call at 2.15pm.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "London Road and Arnold Fire Station attended following a call at quarter past two on the dot.

"But it's a false alarm, we would have probably been called with the alarm going off."

Just after 2.40pm only one fire engine remained at the scene, the spokeswoman confirmed.
