Firefighters were called near to Nottingham's Forest Recreation Ground after reports of smoke from a member of the public.
Crews from Arnold fire station were called to reports of smoke seen near Mansfield Road at around 11.03am on Monday April 19.
The fire service said they inspected but found this to be a false alarm and there was no evidence of a fire.
