Fire service share photo of fire that caused heavy A38 traffic

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have explained the cause of heavy traffic on the A38 by sharing an image of a vehicle fire that had to be extinguished by multiple fire crews.

They released a photo of fire crews dealing with a vehicle fire on the A38 which took place on November 2.

The service explained that the fire has been what has caused heavy traffic on the expressway during the day.

Firefighters from Ashfield Fire Station attended the incident, as well as crews from Alfreton and Clay Cross.

Posting on their Facebook page, Ashfield Fire Station said: "Wondering why the traffic was heavy around the A38 yesterday.

Firefighters from Ashfield Fire Station assisted Alfreton and Clay Cross firefighters to extinguish a vehicle fire on the A38."
