Fire service at scene of gas cylinder fire at commercial premises in Co Tyrone

Fire and rescue services are at the scene of a fire at a commercial premises outside Coalisland, Co Tyrone.

Three fire appliances were dispatched to the Farlough Road near Newmills on Monday morning after receiving a report around 11am of a gas cylinder fire.

The incident is currently ongoing, while the road has been closed in both directions.

“Firefighters are currently at the scene of a gas cylinder on fire at a commercial premises on Farlough Road, Dungannon. The incident is currently ongoing,” a spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service said.

“3 Appliances are in attendance at the incident - 1 Appliance from Dungannon Fire Station, 1 Appliance from Cookstown Fire Station, and Pomeroy Fire station.”

Police said the road had been closed and diversions were in place.

“The Farlough Road near Dungannon has been closed in both directions due to a fire at commercial premises in the area. Diversion are in place,” Police Mid Ulster said in a tweet.
