A large fire has ripped through a Scots flat, sparking an emergency response which took around three hours. The blaze broke out shortly after 10.30pm on Wednesday July 27 at a top-floor flat on Rannoch Road in Perth.
Mercy crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, raced to the scene in a bid to tackle the raging inferno and aid rescue efforts for those inside.
Dramatic footage taken at the site, which was shared on social media, shows bright orange flames leaping from the property as plumes of smoke billow into the sky.
Fragments of a burnt out window appear to collapse and fall away as debris gathers on the ground below. The whole exterior of the property appears completely charred in the clip.
Concerned residents can be seen looking on as hero firefighters armed with breathing apparatus and other equipment go in and out of the property, with several seen in the video attempting to extinguish the fire with a large hose.

Some time later, the blaze starts to subside. The fire service confirmed crews - three from Perth and another one drafted in from Auchterarder - left around 1.30am, having fought to get the blaze under control for around three hours.
Rannoch Road was closed between Campsie Road and Newhouse Road while the event unfolded, with members of the public advised to avoid the area. It has since reopened.
It is unclear as to how the fire started but officers confirmed to the Record it did not look to be suspicious. It is also understood no one was injured in the incident.
