Arson suspect arrested as fire rips through former Smokie Mo's
A man has been arrested after a fire broke out in Liverpool city centre this morning.
Police confirmed they have taken a 22-year-old into custody on suspicion of arson.

Emergency services were called to the former Smokie Mo's bar, in the Ofiveone building on Brownlow Hill, to reports of a fire at around 1.40am.

Concerns grows for woman last seen in hospital six days ago

Police are growing increasingly concerned over the whereabouts of a woman last seen in hospital six days ago.
Sarah Rugen, 37, was last seen at Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral on Wednesday September 29.
She has been described as white with long shoulder length blonde hair, 5ft 3 and with a slim build.
Sarah was last seen wearing a black, red and white jacked, burgundy leggings and furry black sliders.

Area of the city where house searches have surged this summer
House searches have surged in one area of Liverpool as workers return back to their offices following the easing of coronavirus restrictions.
In March 2020 everyone in the UK was ordered to stay at home to protect the NHS during the pandemic.
People were only able to leave their home for shopping for groceries or essentials, medical needs and one form of exercise per day.
